The Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDC) and World Resources Institute (WRI), India has announced that it will be launching the 'Workplace Electric Vehicle Charging Guidebook for Corporates in Delhi' on November 29.
The Guidebook plans to help employers in their journey of embracing Electric Vehicle (EV) charging at the workplace.
Delhi government has announced the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy in August 2020, with a vision to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles in the city and to make Delhi the EV Capital of India.
The policy intends to improve Delhi's air quality by driving the transition to electric vehicles so that they can reach 25 percent of all new vehicle registrations by 2024.
In line with this vision, Delhi Government has taken several progressive steps such as introducing subsidies on the purchase of EVs and the launch of a single-window facility to facilitate the installation of EV charging points in private and semi-public spaces in the city.
Through the unveiling of this guidebook, Delhi Government is looking forward to encouraging corporates in Delhi to join hands in promoting EVs by adopting workplace charging. This guidebook aims to guide corporates in evaluating the scope for workplace charging, details the processes involved in effective decision-making along setting the way forward for its planning and implementation.

Delhi Government has taken many ground-breaking steps to promote the adoption of EVs and build charging infrastructure at a mass scale. Research shows that 90 percent of EVs are charged at home or the workplace.
By launching this step-by-step guide to install workplace charging, Delhi government intends to become the first state government in India to make corporates an integral part of the EV movement."
