ZR Power Holdings, Maharashtra govt. inks MoU for setting up energy plants/data centres

Hyderabad-based Independent Power Producer (IPP) ZR Power Holdings has announced that it has signed an MoU with the government of Maharashtra in presence of Subhash Desai, Minister of Industries; Dr. P Anbalagan, CEO, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC); and Baldev Singh, additional chief secretary industries.

The MoU was signed in Dubai and intends to build state-of-the-art sustainable energy manufacturing plants/data centres in Maharashtra.

Under this MoU, a total of two ZR data centres have been proposed in markets like Navi Mumbai and Pune totaling a development potential of Rs 1200 crore and generating employment for 300. 

The proposed cost for the ZR Data Centre at Navi Mumbai is Rs 800 crore, and Rs 400 crore for the ZR Data Centre 2 at Pune.

"We intend to increase our investment to improve the state's technical infrastructure. These two projects will solidify ZR Group's leadership in the data centre industry," stated Zain Ravdjee, founder of ZR Power Holdings.
