Amara Raja Batteries Ltd held the foundation stone laying ceremony of Amara Raja advanced energy research & innovation centre called 'E Positive Energy Labs' at the GMR Aerocity near Hyderabad airport.
The centre will be equipped with advanced laboratories and testing infrastructure for material research, prototyping, product life cycle analysis, and proof-of-concept demonstration, serving as a catalyst for multi-stakeholder collaboration.
The lab will seek to drive breakthroughs in energy storage, electric mobility and renewable energy integration, and foster entrepreneurship in these areas. Its development is an important milestone in Amara Raja's ₹9,500 crore Giga Corridor that will encompass the labs as well as a gigafactory at Divitipalli to manufacture Li-ion cells and battery packs.
Speaking on the occasion, Jayadev Galla, Chairman and MD, Amara Raja, said "The E Positive Energy Labs are a testament to our dedication to fostering innovation and shaping the future of energy, and will accelerate the development of innovative solutions that address the evolving energy storage needs of our society."

The event was graced by Shri K T Rama Rao, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development; Industries and Commerce and Information Technology, Electronics, and Communications, Government of Telangana, and other dignitaries from government and industry.
