ChargeZone sets up 125-plus EV charging points to charge 500-plus e-buses in India

Technology-driven EV Charging Network company, ChargeZone has announced that 500+ electric buses are being powered by its network of 125+ Superfast DC Points across India.

These points can be found in cities like Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, and Kanpur. This initiative was undertaken in partnership with several state departments.

ChargeZone has placed charging stations at key locations throughout each city to guarantee that electric buses have access to electricity. The company plans to expand its network in Chandigarh and Bangalore.

These charging stations were built per the FAME II policy of the Central Government for Electric Buses. They are led by State/City Transportation Units. ChargeZone, a super-fast DC charging station, can charge an electric bus in as little as 90 minutes.

M. Kartikey Haryani Founder & CEO of ChargeZone, spoke out about the development. "As part of our vision to create a network with one million charging points by 2030," he said. We aim to reduce tailpipe emissions and thus pollution in India's key cities. This is done by encouraging people, businesses, and the public to use electric vehicles for their commutes. Our long-term goal is to reduce tailpipe emissions in key cities across India and encourage the adoption of electric vehicles as a mode of transportation.

ChargeZone, with India's EV market constantly changing, has been investing in and developing large EV charging stations for various e-mobility companies like Ashok Leyland (Volvo-Eicher), GreenCell Mobility, among others. In India, the company has electrified over 1000kms of National Highways. It installed a network (20) of unmanned, mobile-driven, Superfast, EV charging stations along the Gujarat- Maharashtra National Highway.

It has created a B2B and C2C network of EV charging stations for fleet customers and also set up 1450+ charging stations across 650+ stations. This allows for around 5000 EVs to be charged daily.
