Indian battery startup Cyantron Synergies has recently signed an MoU with the Centre for Material for Electronics Technology (C-MET), Pune for joint research, development and trials of Lithium-Ion cell chemistries.
It is to be noted that the 'Centre of Excellence' (CoE) is being setup at C-MET for design and development of Li-ion, Na-ion and Li-polymer battery technologies.
The center aims to provide provide a complete eco-system, including R&D, design, and testing services for local industries to boost indigenous cell development using advanced chemistries.
Cyantron Synergies claims to have already planned for its 1 GWh battery gigafactory, mainly focusing the cylindrical cells. The company has said to start with the making of Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LFP) cathode material, and will continue to add others members of lithium ion family in its portfolio including Sodium-Ion and solid-state Batteries.
The company, with its subsidiary Cyantron CDS Private Limited, has expertise in advanced chemistry cell
design for different applications.
It is currently concentrating on design, simulation, characterization, prototyping, trials, failure analysis, testing and validation of chemistries, manufacturing processes and better performance future materials.
