Electric vehicle and energy storage company Matter Group announced it will open its first showroom in Ahmedabad on October 11. The company plans to establish 100 such hubs across 40 Indian cities through its dealer partners over the next eight months.

In a press release, Matter said the hub will offer immersive "product, retail and care experiences" that will allow customers to engage with Matter's latest electric vehicles. On display will be the company's Aera motorcycle, the country's first geared electric motorbike as well as zones for test rides, deliveries, and charging.

Matter is set to begin deliveries of the Aera this festive season. The e-bike features a proprietary 5 KWh liquid-cooled battery and powertrain as well as a 5-amp onboard charging system that allows riders to charge across charging points.

Commenting on the occasion, Mohal Lalbhai, Founder and Group CEO Matter Group, said, "We are excited to create an experiential hub where customers can truly experience the future of motorbiking. With this launch, Matter… marks a new milestone in the history of e-mobility."

Matter, founded in January 2019 in Ahmedabad, aims to develop futuristic electric vehicle platforms and energy storage systems. The company holds over 40 patents in the field of powertrain cooling, power pack cooling, gearbox, charging infra and manufacturing automation.
