Energy projects developer Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB (SENS) has announced the signing of a new lease agreement for solar-battery storage project outside Katrineholm, Sörmland in Sweden. The battery plant has a target of achieving a capacity of 50 MW and solar park of 15 MW.
The integrated strategy aims to promote a stable and reliable energy supply, reduces dependence on fossil fuels and contributes to building a robust and future-proof energy infrastructure, the company claims.
Further, SENS's strategic positioning and resources allows it to effectively navigate and lead the way towards future energy challenges, thus playing a decisive role in the transition to sustainable energy solutions, it adds.
The project's market value, with a 'Ready-to-build' status, can vary between SEK 250-500 thousand/MW, according to the company. With this project, SENS's portfolio of projects with land leases amounts to 330MW of BESS and 75MW of solar capacity.

As one of the leading developer of clean energy projects in Sweden, SENS secured land resources for two other facilities - a 50MW project in Hallsberg and a 40MW system project in Södermanland - in the last three months.
The country, owing to its aging hydropower assets that are reaching their capacities, is opening new market avenues for battery energy storage.
