Zen Mobility inaugurates new manufacturing facility in Manesar

Emerging original equipment manufacturer, Zen Mobility has inaugurated one of the largest manufacturing plant for light electric vehicles designed for last-mile mobility in Manesar, Gurgaon.

Situated across a 2.5-acre area, the new manufacturing facility will have the capacity to manufacture 50,000 units of Zen Micro Pods per year – the company's flagship LEV designed for urban commuters. Apart from manufacturing, the plant houses an advanced research and development facility dedicated to design, engineering, and product planning. It also features comprehensive testing capabilities, including roller testing and dyno testing, ensuring stringent quality and safety standards for all Zen Mobility products.

"With our order book increased to 10,000 units, the plant will be operating in two shifts to fulfill the orders. Our enhanced production capabilities and advanced testing facilities enable us to offer effective fleet management solutions to E-commerce and fleet companies."

The new facility offers complete in-house customization for innovative cargo box solutions, catering to various applications such as food delivery, e-commerce, grocery delivery, third-party logistics, cold-chain management, dairy products delivery,  FMCG and pharmaceuticals logistics, and more. By integrating customization capabilities into its manufacturing process, the OEM aims to address the unique needs of urban logistics and deliver tailored solutions to its customers.

The company claims to collaborate with major food delivery and e-commerce firms that deploy vehicles across more than 10 cities in India. 

Jain noted the new manufacturing plant has been designed to accommodate future production of Zen Maxi Pods the company's upcoming multipurpose four-wheeler LCV intended for the delivery of cargo and mid- to large-size goods.
