Applications open for UNIDO-FLCTD Innovation Challenge 2022

​The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has announced that is coming up with its annual project the "Facility of Low Carbon Deployment (FLCTD) Innovation Challenge for 2022".

The project is conducted by UNIDO in collaboration with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) in partnership with various industry partners such as Customized Energy Solutions (CES), India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), AGNIi, Start-up India, AIC Sangam Ventures and others. 

FLCTD conducts annual innovation challenges covering six thematic areas: 


Program Incentives & Application Cycle:

The UNIDO FLCTD Innovation Challenge 2022 winners stand to gain financial support of up to US$ 50,000, measurement & verification by Customized Energy Solutions, de-risking of innovations before commercial launch, industry linkages, support for financial mentoring, fundraising, and recognition from   BEE, UNIDO, and IESA.

The applications are open to Indian technical institutes, universities, research institutes, startups in collaboration with industry-academia research institutes, micro, small & medium enterprises (MSMEs), industries public sector enterprises, and government laboratories.

The submission of applications for the Innovation Challenge 2022 began last week(April 15) and will continue till May 31, 2022.

With a focus on the Electrical Energy Storage system theme, IESA has announced it will be organizing an informative webinar on the Innovation Challenge on Friday, April 22. The details of webinar as given below.
