Tata Motors has announced that it has partnered with the Department of New & Renewable Energy (DNRE) to deploy Tigor EVs in Goa, as a part of its tender with EESL. In an event held recently, the handover ceremony took place in the presence of Pramod Pandurang Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Goa, Rajesh Tulshidas Patnekar, Honourable Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly, Nilesh Cabral, Hon’ble Minister for Power, Environmental, Non-conventional Source of Energy & Law & Judiciary, Parimal Rai, Chief Secretary, Govt of Goa, and other senior officers of the Ministry.

Tata Motors is playing a leading role in proactively driving the adoption of electric mobility in the country. The company is closely working with other Tata Group companies including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance and Croma, to contribute to the faster adoption of EVs in India through its eMobility ecosystem called the “Tata uniEVerse”.
