Indian automaker Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) has selected Delhi NCR-based Statiq as one of its preferred Charging Point Operations partners, along with plans to collaborate on various e-mobility technology integration projects in the future.
The alliance will provide EV users with a robust and reliable mobility network across the country, according to Statiq. The two companies will also collaborate on various e-mobility tech integration projects going forward, thereby further bolstering its plans to serve the EV ecosystem in the country, the company adds.
Speaking on the collaboration, Akshit Bansal, Co-founder and CEO, of Statiq, said, "We are delighted to partner with M&M as we share the aim to offer 4-wheeler EV charging solutions across the country at a time of them launching their electric XUV400".
"Statiq has always been about promoting carbon-free mobility in India by providing an expansive charging network, and this alliance will strengthen our mission to advance the growth of the EV ecosystem further. Statiq aims to provide an end-to-end ecosystem for EV chargers in the country. Last month, the startup announced a collaboration with E2W company Ather Energy to enhance the combined EV charging network in the northern states, with a special emphasis on the NCR region.
Over the last year, Statiq claims to have launched numerous charging stations to reinforce its network. The company has already installed 6,500+ charging stations, with recent ones being located at Mangaluru in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan. By the end of the year, Statiq aims to have about 20,000 charging points in its network.
