Baker Hughes, Samsung Engineering join forces for CCUS and hydrogen tech
Baker Hughes and Samsung Engineering have announced a new partnership that will explore low to zero-carbon projects utilizing carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), and hydrogen technologies.
As part of this new association, Baker Hughes and Samsung will ascertain joint business development opportunities for energy and industrial customers to help ease emissions.
The areas of prospect for Baker Hughes' technology comprises compression and NovaLT gas turbine technology as well as flexible pipes for transportation.
Samsung Engineering aims to provide its engineering, procurement, and construction expertise for offering and deploying low carbon solutions for projects across refineries, petrochemical plants, and cutting-edge industrial and environmental facilities.
This comprises water treatment and air pollution prevention applications.
The two companies will primarily focus on projects with key Korean customers domestically and abroad, as well as bearing in mind expansions to other customers or regions where there is the prospect to do so.
