The base-variant of the EV is offered for an introductory price of ₹ 4.79 lakhs for the first 10,000 customers, while the high-range variants are priced at ₹ 6.79 lakhs and ₹ 7.79 lakhs respectively. The car has already received 6,000 pre-orders worldwide, claims the company.
PMV EaS-E is powered by a PMSM motor making 10 kW of power and 50 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 70 kmph. Buyers can choose between three battery packs extending 120km, 160km and 200 km driving range respectively.
The battery pack is IP67 rated and is made of 48V lithium-ion phosphate cells. The battery pack is designed in such as way that it acts as an integrated structure to the chassis, thereby ensuring better structural integrity and safety. Standard charging time for all the variants of EaS-E is between 3 to 4 hours.
Further, the micro e-car is equipped with regenerative braking, cruise control, remote parking assist, remote-controlled cabin accessories and OTA software updates through the PMV's Eas-E Connect mobile app.
The company claims that the electric car offers significantly lower running costs of just 75 paise per kilometer, which is relatively cheaper than petrol two wheelers. The EaS-E targets those buyers who are looking for alternative solutions to two-wheelers and cars that increasingly becoming expensive to run and impractical due to traffic on city roads.
