Ruchira Green Earth expands portfolio of its Akira Li-ion batteries for EVs

Home-grown lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery manufacturer, Ruchira Green Earth announced today that it will be advancing the company's technology to produce Li-ion batteries for electric vehicles under its flagship 'AKIRA' brand. 

Akira Li-ion batteries expanded portfolio will now include a range of batteries for electric scooters (e-scooters), e-autos, and e-cycle apart from commercial vehicles, loaders, fork lifts, golf carts among others. 

Ruchira Green Earth's latest move is aimed at capturing a sizeable market share of li-ion batteries in India. The company has also confirmed that it has adopted a fully automated process without any manual intervention. 

"Our manufacturing facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and technology so much so, we have acquired the potential to customize the Li-ion batteries for the bigger OEMs to cater to their specific needs," said Deepan Garg, Director, Ruchira Green Earth commenting on the latest announcement.

"We are advancing the technology and producing EV batteries for all the segments of EVs. Our product range has created an edge over others due to their unique energy-storage technology and excellent energy and power capabilities," Mr. Garg added.

According to the company, AKIRA Li-ion EV batteries have been designed exclusively for Indian weather conditions and are capable of managing increasing volatility.
