Chinese greentech company Envision Energy has announced a three-year renewable energy supply with five global leading healthcare companies in a collaboration that helps decarbonize their operations, accelerating transition to net zero health systems.

As per their agreement, Envision Energy will deliver around 200 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of green power annually from 2024 to AstraZeneca, Lonza, Novartis, Novo Nordisk and Roche. Four of the companies -- AstraZeneca, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, and Roche -- are members of the Sustainable Markets Initiative Health Systems Task Force, a global private sector organization working on sustainable transition for the healthcare sector.

The power supply agreement is expected to reduce CO2 equivalent emissions by 120,000 tonnes a year, comparable to taking 25,000 cars off the road, Envision Energy said in a statement.

Envision Energy, a pioneer in green power, has assisted more than 2,000 partners in achieving net zero goals through consultation, digital solutions, and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), integrating existing regulatory and technology frameworks for a tailored, sustainable solution.

The company, which also manufactures wind turbines, last year signed a deal to supply 1.67 GW wind turbines for NEOM Green Hydrogen Co, a utility-scale hydrogen plant in Saudi Arabia powered entirely by renewable energy.

Envision Energy also undertakes annual trading volume in excess of 10 terawatt-hours, offering comprehensive green power solutions from distributed power and net zero industrial park to green tariffs and PPAs.
