Electric Vehicle (EV) charging network start-up SunFuel Electric has announced that it has partnered with Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) to set up EV charging points at Radisson properties across the country.

On December 21, 2021, SunFuel and Radisson Hotel Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Radisson Blu Plaza hotel in Mahipalpur, Delhi to announce the partnership. Sudhir Nayak, Co-founder of SunFuel Electric, Gul Panag, Co-founder and Head of Partnerships and Community, SunFuel were present during the signing ceremony with Zubin Saxena, Vice President & Managing Director (Operations), Radisson Hotel Group, South Asia at the signing ceremony.

"We at SunFuel are helping decrease range anxiety and catalyzing the change to electric vehicle adoption. We're also developing a community of EV users, sort of early adopters, who will lead this change and help dispel range anxiety among prospective EV users," said Nayak, while opening the event for the signing of the MoU.

"I've been using an electric car for the past 7 years. Electric mobility shouldn't be confined to city limits. We should be able to take electric cars to the mountains and go on weekend trips with our electric cars without any range anxiety. We want to develop a community of electric car users. EV Trails is our flagship endeavor to create such a community of users, and open new pathways, new destinations, and frontiers for early adopters of EVs." stated Gul Panag.

The Radisson Hotel Group has lately introduced the "India Road Trip" which includes inviting Radisson hotels guests to experience exciting road trips across India with safe, comfortable stays along the way. With the partnership with SunFuel on providing EV charging infrastructure, Radisson Hotel Group will also look at partnering with SunFuel's EV Trails in the future, providing electric car users the same curated road trip plans with stays at Radisson hotel properties.

"Our collective vision is for SunFuel to nurture a community of EV users and Radisson will support this community through its pan India network. We already have EV charging points across 105 locations in Radisson hotel properties across India, and 5 more will be installed by March 31, 2021," said Zubin Saxena, Vice President & Managing Director (Operations), Radisson Hotel Group, South Asia.
