Three companies plan scalable, modular 500 kg/day green H2 plant in Texas
Three US companies are collaborating to set up the world's first 500 kg per day green hydrogen production facility in Houston, Texas.
HNO International announced it would lead the initiative, alongside Element One Energy and Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company, and that the trio aimed to complete the project before July this year. This would be the first installation of HNO International's Scalable Hydrogen Energy Platform (SHEP), which the company calls "a significant leap forward" in green hydrogen infrastructure.
SHEP is modular and scalable system designed to efficiently produce, store, and dispense green hydrogen from water using a 1.25 MW electrolyzer.
The platform is versatile enough to cater to energy developers, companies, communities, and municipalities: it boasts footprint of less than 3,000 sq feet, providing flexibility in installation across diverse locations.
The design is scalable, allowing production beyond 5,000 kg of hydrogen per day with additional electrolyzers and other integrated components, making it an ideal solution for various industrial and commercial applications.
The platform can be connected to the grid, or run directly via a renewable energy source to create a 100 percent green, off-grid unit.
