ProLogium, MAHLE partner for solid-state battery solutions

Taiwanese solid-state battery manufacturer, ProLogium Technology Co. (ProLogium) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding with MAHLE GmbH (MAHLE) for the development of the first thermal management system tailored for ProLogium's next-gen solid state batteries.

The collaboration will help in the rollout of commercially viable solid-state battery solutions that offer improved energy density, safety, and life span. The partnership also marks German automotive manufacturer MAHLE's first foray into the solid-state battery industry.

The partnership between two pioneering companies in the next-generation battery and engineering fields signifies a leap forward in shaping a revolutionary battery value chain, which is crucial for advancing the industrialization of solid-state batteries."

As per the MoU, both the companies will work on cell testing focused on thermal properties for the development of an innovative thermal management for solid-state batteries. After conducting a series of evaluations on ProLogium's solid-state batteries with 100% silicon oxide anode, the partners will enter discussion regarding building prototypes for "ProLogium- MAHLE" solid-state cell modules and battery pack series.
