Quantum Energy forays into E2W market in India with four e-scooters models

Hyderabad-based Quantum Energy is showcasing its upcoming electric high-speed scooters made for the Indian E2W market. The company, backed by Kusalava group with over 50 years presence in the auto industry, has tied up with MBI Korea to bring advanced EV technology for the domestic market.

Quantum Energy's product line-up includes four e-scooter models namely, 'Plasma', 'Elektron', 'Milan' and 'Bziness'. The 'Plasma' is powered by 1.5 kW motor, offering a top speed of 60 kmph and riding range of 110 km -130 km on a single full charge.

'Elektron' and 'Milan' models, on the other hand, come with a 1 kW motor, while 'Bziness' boasts a 1.2 kW motor, with a maximum speed of 50kmph and riding range of 80-100kms in varying riding modes.

Speaking on the occasion, Chakravarthi Chukkapalli, Director Quantum Energy said "Quantum energy scooters have been developed with technology to deliver the best range without compromising on the performance. The focus has been on building high-quality products at affordable prices in the Indian market".

He added that the batteries of the e-scooters are powered by a smart BMS with multilevel safety protections to make sure they are extremely safe. Quantum Energy claims that its EV's feature advanced Lithium-ion batteries that are capable of achieving full charge in 4 hrs.

"The products have good gradeability for dual riders and riding uphill. Quantum has registered multiple design and utility patents. The scooters have been rigorously tested and validated for Indian road conditions", Chukkapalli said. 

Quantum Energy has announced that its vehicles will be available for commercial sales by October 2022. The company is hopeful to make a mark in India's embryonic EV two-wheeler market.
