Envision 2023: IIT Madras Research Park-IESA gear up to host two-day energy conference

IIT Madras Research Park (IITM RP) in partnership with industry body, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) will host a two-day energy festival, 'Envision 2023' organizing expert-led deliberations on technology-led energy transformations underway in India.

Scheduled to be held on December 4th and 5th at IIT Madras campus in Chennai, the two-day energy festival will bring together prominent speakers from the clean energy and technology domain for four brainstorming sessions bridging R&D to commercialization. The energy festival will also host 10+ panel discussions, and an exhibition featuring industries, startups, and innovators from across India, presenting a comprehensive view of the climate-tech solutions essential for the net-zero energy transition.

"IIT Madras Research Park, as part of its 10X program, is pursuing an ambitious vision to drive India in achieving net-zero and EnVision plays a key role in establishing and initiating a movement towards this larger vision," IIT-M RP said.

At Envision 2023, the conference speakers will deliberate on India's renewable energy goals, challenges and opportunities, technology readiness, R&D and innovations, and commercialization roadmap across the following key areas:

  • Green Buildings
  • Solar Manufacturing
  • Electric Mobility
  • Energy Storage
  • Nuclear Energy
  • Climate Finance
  • Heating & Cooling
  • Climate Policy
  • Green Hydrogen
  • Waste to Energy
  • Motors & Controllers

To encourage startups in the cleantech space, Envision 2023 will be organizing a Startup Showcase, interested participants can apply for the showcase before November 24, 2023.

Of the total applications received at the Startup Showcase,10 startups will be shortlisted based on commercial viability, technological innovation, and impact. The shortlisted startups will then be invited to pitch at Envision 2023. The winning startup stands a chance to get a 1 lakh cash prize and an opportunity to get incubated at IIT-Madras Incubation cell –a leading deep-tech startup hub in the country.

IESA-IIT Madras Research Park partner to support innovations and entrepreneurship -
