Sona Comstar and Israel-based Drive TLV join forces for developing smart mobility solutions

Sona Comstar has announced that it has partnered with Drive TLV, an Israeli innovation center focused on smart mobile solutions. The partnership with DRIVE will give Sona Comstar access to Israel's high-tech mobile startup ecosystem.

With the move, Sona Comstar has joined Drive TLV's select group of automotive partners, which includes Volvo Cars, Volvo Group, Honda Xcelerator, and Denso. Sona Comstar will complement its research and development efforts with collaborations with high-tech startups from Israel to advance its vision of a greener and smarter mobility in the future.

Drive TLV works with a select group of partners in the mobility industry. These partners rely on DRIVE to provide them with the latest technology and tailor solutions to their needs. With mobility experience and network, deep knowledge of each partner's assets, and the ability to support partnerships with targeted investments, DRIVE can create effective matches between its partners and promising startups based on real market needs. Since 2017, Drive TLV has helped more than 50 mobility-focused startups raise more than $2 billion to develop and commercialize new technologies.

Innovative automotive technology company Sona Comstar aims to capture new opportunities in a world of mobility that is rapidly moving towards electrification, connected, autonomous, and shared mobility. The company says it is "developing several new products for advanced mobility applications, complementing our research and development efforts with strategic partnerships with innovative startups."

As a partner of the Sona Innovation Center, Comstar can participate in the DRIVE FASTLANE startup commercialization program. In addition, it will have access to the new DRIVE, POWER test, evaluation, and development center.

According to Kiran M. Deshmukh, Group CTO of Sona Comstar, "Israel is one of the global centers of smart mobility innovation. Drive TLV's accelerator, prototyping lab, and shared workspace foster innovation, networking, and collaboration with mobile-focused startups. . Our partnership with Drive will help us accelerate our innovation processes as we look to expand our collaboration with Israel's high-tech mobility ecosystem."
