ACMA's Components Show commits to 'Technovation' | Auto Expo 2023
The 16th edition of Auto Expo – 2023 Components at New Delhi has opened its floors for the Indian automotive industry. The expo is themed as 'Technovation – Global Platform for Future Technologies & Innovations for Automotive Industry", focusing on electrified, digitised, sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions.
Jointly organized by The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), the apex body of the Indian auto component industry, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the Components show is the flagship event for component suppliers and technology players in the country.
The event was was inaugurated by Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Minister for Heavy Industries, along with Sunjay J Kapur, President, ACMA and Chairman Sona Comstar, Sanjiv Bajaj, President, CII and Chairman & MD Bajaj Finserv Ltd., and Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA.
In his inaugural speech, Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey said, "The participation of over 800 manufacturers from over 15 countries at the 16th Auto Expo components is a testament to the success of the show and the automotive fraternity. It is commendable to see the strong growth of the industry over last few years, contributing more than 2.3 percent to the overall GDP of the country. I am very thankful to the manufacturers for strengthening Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and making India a global manufacturing hub".
ACMA President Sunjay J Kapur said "The automotive industry worldwide is shifting towards a greener and smarter mobility. Envisioning Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Indian auto components manufacturers must focus on R&D, innovation, and localisation, leading the way to 'Future of Mobility'".
The components and technology show is witnessing participation of over 800 companies from 15 countries including Canada, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK, and USA. Around 1,15,000 plus business visitors from across the world are expected to witness the four-day show.
Interestingly, vehicle electrification and connected technologies are in vogue at the Auto Expo – 2023 Components. A variety of companies are also displaying solutions in the hydrogen combustion engine and fuel cell segment, especially for commercial transportation and stationary power systems.
The expo is also featuring an exclusive EV components, Innovation, and Start-ups pavilions, to showcase future technologies in the automotive systems.
