Indian EV charging solutions company goEgoNetwork has recently entered a strategic partnership with Bengaluru-based SRIT India Pvt. Ltd. to set up its first fast charge park for EVs in Bengaluru, Karnataka at ITPL Main Road, Kundalahalli, Brooke Field.
As part of expanding its reach in Karnataka's developing EV-charging market, under the guided approach of SRIT, goEgoNetwork is planning to set up at least 500-1000 charging stations across the state in one year.
The company says that the 24x7 state-of-the-art charge park in Bengaluru will be equipped with one unit each of goEgoNetwork's Pelican Pro (60 kW), Pelican (15 kW - GBT), Eagle, and Albatross chargers to ensure efficient and fast charging of all types of EVs including two, three and four-wheelers.
goEgoNetwork's Pelican EV charging station has a powerful capacity of 60kW. With this charger, e-car users can charge their vehicles to 80 percent in just 45-60 minutes, and can enjoy a full charge in just 90-120 minutes depending on the size of the battery.
"We are elated for having partnered with goEgoNetwork to set up the fast charge park at SRIT premises. As the number of residents in the vicinity and our employees have been increasingly vouching on EVs either through public transport or personal vehicles, we felt that there was a need to let them commute without fearing range anxiety. The fast-charging facility is open to two, three, and four-wheeled vehicles along with the capacity to even charge 9-meter electric buses. It is a revolutionary move for the residents of Bengaluru who are dependent on EVs for their daily commute," said Anwar Haveri, Director, SRIT.
Speaking about the launch of the charge park in Bengaluru, Sayantan Chakraborti, Managing Director and Founder, goEgoNetwork, said, "The demand for cleaner, sustainable means of transport, i.e. electric vehicles is popularizing increasingly in India. Subsequently, the demand for charging infrastructure needs to be met too".
"We at goEgoNetwork are proud to be the leading EV charging network with a presence in over 55 cities across India. Our most recent fast charge park in Bengaluru will ensure hassle-free movement of EVs in the city. Strategically located in the proximity of highways, many commuters from several residential localities in the vicinity can benefit from the charge park", he added.
The newest charge park catapults the company close to its ambitious journey towards enabling 2 million members to adopt zero-emission mobility. goEgoNetwork claims to have close to two thousand members on its network and gets up to 50 charging sessions per day. Using the goME app, users enjoy seamless charging experience with real-time notifications about the EV's charging status, it adds.
With over 21 years of expertise in providing IT solutions to Telecoms, Universities, Educational Institutions, and large government enterprises, SRIT has asserted to further provide locations either independently or by way of a coalition and tie-ups to enable goEgoNetwork to install Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) at those designated locations.
