IBC Solar, Enphase Energy join forces for microinverters, energy storage system
Germany-based solar system provider IBC Solar has announced that it has partnered with global energy technology company Enphase Energy to magnify its product range to embrace micro-inverters and energy storage systems with immediate effect.
Enphase Energy is a global energy management technology company that provides intelligent, user-friendly solutions that manage the generation, storage, and communication of solar energy on one intelligent platform. It supplies solar storage systems based on micro-inverters.
This partnership facilitates IBC to offer its customers even more options for quick and easy planning and installation of solar systems. The micro-inverters are compatible with almost all module types and are predominantly suitable for residential roofs. To be able to easily install the device, the system provider will soon be offering a new clip solution for IBC solar mounting systems. This means that the inverters can be installed without tools, as the clip solution is simply clicked into the mounting rails.
Senior Vice President Supply Chain Management of IBC solar Britta Beier expounds "Micro-inverter systems offer installers and end customers numerous advantages from a technological point of view."
He also adds "With a 25-year limited guarantee on the microinverters, the Enphase system stands for the highest level of reliability and thus meets the high-quality standards of IBC Solar. The compatibility with all of our modules and assembly systems fits our system concept and the fast, uncomplicated plug-and-play installation creates advantages for our premium partners. "
Each solar module is equipped with micro-inverters and has its own inverter. In contrast to a conventional system, all solar modules are connected via a pre-assembled 230 V cable. This new arrangement has many advantages, as extensive string design is no longer required and the shading is optimally balanced. It allows numerous modules to be added and makes it easier to expand the system.
In addition to the micro-inverters, the new Enphase storage system 'Encharge' is anticipated to be available from IBC Solar from summer 2021. Solar installers would use Enphase storage systems for new installations as well as for retrofitted systems. Enphase is one of the few manufacturers in Europe that offers both solar and storage products.
Peter van Berkel, General Manager of Enphase Europe, said "We are excited to work with IBC Solar to bring our microinverters and storage systems to our European customers. We look forward to working with IBC Solar and its strong installation network to deliver reliable, clean energy to homeowners with our innovative home energy management systems. "
